I have that distortion trouble with a lot of the synths I use. And I think it's safe to say that you don't know what;s going through my mind. I was looking for a fairly crunchy synth, and I found one. At times it overpowers a little, and I plan on fixing that. Done deal.
I get that you wanna make quick cuts for dramatic affect, but, they way you have it set up, you'll damage speakers with the pop. I'm not kidding. My suggestion, get rid of it. And if you dont know how, a trick is to go into your volume track, and have a gradual fade in. It doesnt have to be slow, but a tiny millisecond fade-in would make a world of difference.
